Wedding of Adam and Diane

My little brother got married last week to the friendly, kind, thoughtful and fun Diane. We are delighted to welcome her into the family.
The reception was held at the Carriage Rooms, Montalto. It is a perfect wedding location. We had a great day.

Centre Parcs Getaway

We have just returned from a weekend at the new Centre Parcs in Longford, Ireland. We spent a lot of time on the slides and rapids in the pool. Calvin is fearless in the water, Ezra loves the slides but hates the water falling on his head. The rest of us loved the rapids and have all the bumps and bruises from racing each other. It is not a relaxing holiday but it is great that there is so much to keep the kids busy.

Our favourite restaurant was the Pancake House!
We are already considering when we can go again.

Portstewart hols

It was a last minute decision to book an Airbnb in Portstewart and I'm so glad we did. The weather was kind (for N.Ireland) so we spent a lot of time on the beach. MJ took to swimming in the sea which he hasn't done before. We also visited Musenden Temple and the Giants Causeway.
This is the third year in a row for us to go to the North Coast while M is at work for a few days...almost a tradition!

Calvin is TWO

Calvin...Happiest when he has food in his hand or his wellies on his feet.
He loves to play with his kitchen, passing round food and drink to who ever will take. He also loves to potter in the garden with M and if anyone is free he loves a story or two or three. He has a feisty temper and a loveable playfulness. Words are few but expression is bountiful.

 Wearing Daddies wellies

Dipping his biscuit in a rock pool and eating it.

Eating a donut while staring longingly at the donut stack.

Wellies on and ready to walk.

 Biscuit in hand.

Dressed and ready for his uncles wedding.

Slow stitching...sort of

I wanted to make a quilt using the left over fabric from the new curtains in our everyday lounge. For a change I thought I would do it as a 'slow stitching' project, taking my time and enjoying some hand sewing but as the months dragged on and still it remained unfinished in my sewing box I got frustrated and introduced the sewing machine. So it is a mix of both hand embroidery and speedy singer work!
