Scissor happy
Every plastic straw in the drawer is getting shredded this week. It's an activity which keeps him focused but we are fast running out of supplies.

This morning.
As the weather is still so mild and dry we are getting out as much as our energy levels will allow us.
This morning we have been washing the car, gathering leaves and making quite a mess with red and blue paint.

Teething trouble
Red cheeks and constant dribble can only mean one thing, teething trouble. After a week of sleepless nights we are catching up this week but still no sign of those pesky teeth.

Calvin is One!
We celebrated at Portrush beach with a few of his cousins. Lj made and decorated his chocolate cake.

A new dress for Bluebell
Lj has taken to my sewing machine like a duck to water and produced a new dress for Bluebell (with a little guidance from Mum!).
Lj is an Otter!
Lj has conquered her front crawl breathing and completed her certificate. This will see an end to us hanging out at our local leisure centre on a Monday afternoon, until Ezra is ready to learn! I will miss my weekly catch up with the other hot and sticky poolside mums.

She did it!
I had her primed 'it's all about the taking part, it's an amazing experience, an opportunity to learn.' but she was determined to go one better than that. Well done Lj on being 'runner up'.

Entertaining Calvin
Whatever anyone is doing, Calvin is involved.
Ezra reads him a story.
MJ forms a battle plan with him.
Ezra and M play 'peek a boo' with him.

Autumn tidy up
From Lj to Daddy
From Lj to Daddy picking up on his current love/obsession with Cacti!
I love it when my children write me little notes...even if they come from an unpleasant experience!
I'm in the midst of an autumn tidy up. Perhaps it is because we have a large skip in the drive so it is easy to get rid of things or maybe because the start of a new school year feels like new beginnings and time to get rid of the old. Or is it just because the days are bright and fresh and I feel energised (as much as you can with a new born) to clear out. Anyway in tidying up I sorted the kids display wall, keeping rid of a lot , scanning some (like the above) and leaving some in place.

A day in the life of Mr Ez
Messy breakfast time.
A little play.
Climbing.
Morning chat with the cows.
Lots of car journeys.
Hiding in his favourite cupboard under the sink.
And lots of pulling things out of drawers, cupboards and boxes!

Soapy water play
The workmen have all left (for now) leaving a muddy and dusty trail. As I started to clean up it didn't take Ezra long to discover the warm soapy water. I had to keep an eye on what I was doing and a wide eye on Ezra who almost tipped himself into the basin of water a number of times. What is it about little chubby hands? So cute!
Cold and Frosty Saturday
We woke to a cold and frosty morning both outside and inside.
I took the kids to Millennium Court for the film and craft day while Mike went to Belfast with friends. Today's film was 'Big Hero 6' and the activity was making robots from junk modelling. Ezra had a sleep while the film was running so I got some knitting done in the semi darkness. Meanwhile at home we were having the final wood burning stove fitted and a pump put on our hot water tank so we should shortly have a warmer house and a more powerful shower.

Ez on the move
Ez is crawling forwards, after a few weeks of sliding backwards. Now nothing is save as he has an eye for wires and buttons. I think I might be borrowing Mum's play pen to keep him in one place.
