It feels like I spend a large portion of my day moving things from one room to another, all in the name of tidying up. So last night when I came home from an evening out with friends it was no surprise to see dishes by the sink, shoes lying on the floor and random toys in random places. But I was stopped in my tracks and had to take a photo when I saw what had been left lying on the table. Pencils, pens, paper, scissors and drawings. Why was this mess different? To me it was, because it told a story of what the older two had spent their evening doing. When screens is their normal 'go to' entertainment, I was so pleased that last evening they had been creating their own world in their imagination, using their hands and creativity without the stimulus of a screen.

Mr Stoat and family
We have discovered what has been enjoying M's tender pea shoots. Mr Stoat and his large family have taken up residence in our log piles. I can't believe how brazen they are as they pop in and out of the wood, watching us as we watch them. Apparently they are good at getting rid of rabbits which M is pleased about but we are concerned for Starlight, Babs and Sue (our chickens) as they can have a taste for chicken too!

After school sun
With it being possibly the warmest day of the year, so far, we couldn't waste one second of it and headed straight from school to Gosford Forest Park. Ezra had his first experience of walking in the river and we had our first picnic of the year. After a non stop 3 hrs we came home sun kissed and ready for bed!

Crafting again.
It's so good to be finding little pockets of free time now and again to get crafting again. This time for a friend who delivered a little boy this morning. I'm reminded of Psalm 139...'You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book...'
